UX/UI Software Product Designer

As a UX/UI Designer your primary responsibility will be to design and lead improvements in user interfaces for new product features on our proprietary software platform.

Location: Tuzla, Bosnia and Herzegovina

Work type: Hybrid with expectation to work a few days a week from the office.

About the role

You understand how users live with our product, and what they need from it. You will evaluate current implementations for usability and correctness, and know how to deliver the best possible experience.

You have a keen eye for detail and aesthetics, and be well versed in the principles of design and UX. As well as ensuring consistency of look and feel in different areas, you have an eye for appearance and visual appeal.

You will work with the product design and development team, but be able to absorb feedback and information from the wider world of people building or using the product to understand context and issues as they see them. Your collaboration with the team is critical to thriving, as is your ability to frame solutions and to understand developer challenges. 

Location: While during the Covid-19 pandemic we are currently mostly operating remotely. However it is foreseen that in a normal scenario this role will be office-based in our Tuzla Development Centre. Please bear this in mind when applying.

As a UX/UI designer you will

Use tools such as Adobe XD, Illustrator and Photoshop.

Craft design artifacts like scenarios, wireframes, process flows, high-fidelity compositions, prototypes and user interactions.

Take part in new feature ideation and contribute to improving the product.

Test the system for usability, question user paths, and consider user experience.   

Organize and prioritize complex sets of information in a way that makes it legible and easy to understand for users.

Be able to help organize and make consistent the company and product image in external-facing documents and sites.

 

Minimal Role Requirements

Knowledge of Design and UX principles

Basic Knowledge of Adobe Suite programs such as XD, Illustrator and Photoshop

Basic understanding of software development so you can effectively communicate with your teammates

A portfolio showing your previous work

Solid knowledge of English language

 

What level is the role?

We are looking for a candidate that will be the right fit for our culture and approach. While relevant experience matters, fitting into our team is of the utmost importance. 

You may be at the start of your career or may already be an experienced designer who has worked on many projects. Both are welcome.

Role level will be determined by the experience and ability to become get productive quickly. We envisage this appointee ultimately taking a key role in the development of our key product.

You can earn extra points for any of the following:

Experience with User testing

Intermediate or advanced skills with Adobe programs such as XD, Illustrator or Photoshop

Effectively communicate to technical and non-technical teammates in English

Excellent English-language technical writing skills

Experience working in Agile Teams

Experience creating rapid prototypes using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

Experience working as a UX/UI designer, Product designer or Graphic Designer

A degree in one or more of the following disciplines: Graphic and Multimedia Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science.
