Glide is proud to announce its latest technical and partner integration, with the world's leading image marketplace and archive Getty Images.
Customers of the industry-leading image solution can now manage and choose assets from their Getty Image accounts directly from within the Glide DAM, Glide Media, without having to switch screens or tabs to interrogate a separate interface.
Simplifying the publishing production process by reducing the number of steps prior to publishing is one of the major instant benefits of the integration, a belief which sits at the heart of GPP's product philosophy. Add to that the automatic and consistent import of metadata and other information, and it also contributes to best publishing practices and good SEO habits - without a user having to do anything.
By making normal Getty editorial functions available directly through GPP, it simplifies use of the world's largest image archive, and makes it possible for publishers who already partner with Getty to massively simplify their workflow.
Medina Kovacevic, GPP Head of Product, said: "With this integration, we provide users with a centralised image management experience, which helps simplify their content workflows so they can focus on creating outstanding work.
"Getty integration is available in all the places where a user would normally use images, so there's no need to go outside of Glide to download the image, and then back to Glide to upload it. Within the integrated user interface, a user can easily search the Getty image library by providing a search phrase, and narrow down the search results by applying filters for the Getty image type, Editorial or Creative, and image orientation.
"After the images are selected for import, they're uploaded as GPP images, and all the metadata is automatically saved into relevant data fields.
"We are delighted to have such an useful integration, which operates simply and at speed."
Glide CEO Denis Haman commented: "Glide is always trying to bring the ability to use the best of breed services a step closer for anyone in the publishing industry, and Getty Images is one of the most respected and utilised services there is.
"For a user and an organisation, image management can be one of the most complex and time-consuming parts of content creation. Seeing how this Getty Images integration cuts time and tasks from a user's workflow is fantastic, and to add to that it really helps with things like metadata for SEO.
"I am excited to see how our customers in the publishing industry embrace this update, and want to thank the great people at Getty for their help in making this integration happen."
