Iconic racing title completes move of content products to Glide, harmonising content production and retiring the last of ageing legacy CMS.
The launch completes an impressive overhaul of the daily newspaper’s legacy site and apps by a combination of in-house and partner developers, as part of a wider modernisation programme which has helped transform its core publishing and data businesses.
The new modern site offerings feature new designs and visuals, new sections, and new features available to free, premium, and membership-based readers. Alongside audience-facing changes are major improvements to how commercial partners can be engaged.
The launch of the Racingpost.com site was aided by a major migration programme by Glide Professional Services to reinvigorate the iconic title’s extensive library of content, bringing over 130,000 legacy articles into the new platform - many of which were previously impossible to view.
The title’s iOS and Android apps have been underpinned by GPP since their launch last October, and the website launch means the Racing Post technology teams have been able to retire multiple ageing content management systems and bring all their content under one roof.
